The Story of Cousin Jack...

Cousin Jack Singers

We were formed in September 2018. Consisting of 8 singers and 2 musicians who all come from a variety of backgrounds but come together for the enjoyment of  singing and playing a range of music.

The name "Cousin Jack" comes from the fact that we are of no fixed abode and explore to wherever we are invited to share our music. We have been honoured to sing since the Summer of 2019 at Wooda Farm Holiday Park and can be seen there enteraining those who come to Bude for a holiday.

We have performed at a number of events since our formation which we have greatly enjoyed and have turned into regular appearances throughout the westcountry.

You may recognise a few of our faces already as  6 of our members performed previously with the Wreckers. We have been lucky to be joined by 3 new members who have bought a new dimension to our singing and we can't wait for you to hear them.

We sing to raise money for charity and local causes which need as much support as they can get. 4 of our singers are active members of the Bude RNLI Lifeboat and 1 of our members is a retired crew member who is still actively fundraising and assisting at the boathouse.

We look forward to hopefully performing for you soon with our close harmonies and lively music which is the perfect addition for any event.

SEA SHANTIES

We sing a range of shanties which bring back the memories of the ships and crews who sailed them. They are sure to get hands clapping and feet stamping.

CORNISH SONGS

We also sing a range of songs which feature information about Cornwall and our heritage. Many written by our good friend and cornish legend Harry Safari (Glasson).

IRISH AND FOLK

Not forgetting some of our most well known songs, we sing a number of Irish and Folk songs. Our musicians will entertain with a number of pieces of music which will take you all across the irish sea.
